Welcome to Coasties on the Move...
Hello! My name is Wendy Lachowicz. I am a licensed realtor in Virginia, a mother of two, and a PROUD Coastie spouse! I have been a part of the Coast Guard family for the past 29 years traveling this great country experiencing ALL aspects of the USCG -- literally! As I began the process of my 8th move in 11 years [selling and buying a home], I was getting frustrated with not knowing who was moving to my area and may want to purchase my home, as well as who I could contact in my new location. So when you need answers these days, everyone turns to social media. My idea to start a Facebook group page absolutely exploded in less than 48 hours. I quickly decided I needed to come up with a better way to organize all of this great information so no one would miss any details...hence the creation of COTM. The site is set up according to Coast Guard districts. Use the map on the HOME page to locate the district you are interested in searching. Please continue to post your relocation discussion on the Facebook group page and check out the associated Twitter and Instagram pages.
